Beatmaker Session 11.01.2012 preview

On Wednesday 11th January 2012 the BEATMAKER “The Future of Music” SESSIONS will take place for the second time. After a successful first session the SM:ARTGUNS team returns to play some more fat beats and bass synth creations at the Fluc, Vienna Praterstern.

At the first session on 19th December 2011 our special L!VE guests were hitting the buttons and twisting the screws to squeeze out some crossover future beats music. The two beatmakers aka Action Jackson and audiomoon used the following Live Equipment: a Korg EMX for drums, a Virus KB Synth for sounds, an Elektron Maschinedrum as a sequencer for Virus, a T.C 2000 for effects and a Lexicon Hall to play a solid 30 minutes live set to stun the audience.

For “The Future of Music” Beatmaker DJ-Set we have received quite some beats previous to the session, which we were eager to play for our audience that night. With experimental music and a location, furnished with classy leather sofas, giving a living-room like ambient, music producers and music fanatics alike were able to get inspired and laze away. A new platform has been created to exchange ideas about music, technology and new concepts, or just to hang out, have a drink and listen to some good music.

For the next Beatmaker Session on Wednesday 11th January 2012 the same principle applies! Music producers get the chance to hand in their own beats, which will be played by our resident DJs on the night. Send us your beat via soundcloud.com/smartguns/dropbox or email beatmaker@smartguns.eu including download link to have your track played.

Yet again, if you are a beatmaker you can apply and get the chance to play a L!VE Slot, which means 30 min playtime at the next Beatmaker Session. To apply send your application including biography, links for live-sets and mixes to beatmaker@smartguns.eu.

For more information about timetable, L!VE Slot winners, as well as info and pictures of the last session, visit www.smartguns.eu.

We are excited and curious on how the evening will turn out, especially musicwise.

So long, beat on!
